There are various services that I offer at KR Interior Design. Offering services is a big step that I have taken, as a student, to gain experience in the field and to do what I love!

In-Store Paint Consultations (Benjamin Moore)

Aside from working in Interior Design, I also work in my local Benjamin Moore paint store. As one of the complimentary services offered at the store, we do Paint Consultations. I work out of the Benjamin Moore in Simcoe, Ontario, and what we do is we'll ask you a few suggestions and give you some colour suggestions based on your answers.

Many people will come in with fabric swatches, an extra floor tile or something they have in their home that they want to match or coordinate with, and that is a massive help. Whether you're design-oriented or not, there are certain things that can alter the look or feel of the paint and I always recommend to everybody to come in for a consultation, at least to get another set of eyes on the project.

In-Home Paint Consultations

In-home paint consultations are very similar to the ones we offer through the store, except I will come to your home and do it there. This is great for homes with difficult lighting, or just for people who can't seem to find the right colour. During the consultation, I will ask you some questions about what you are looking for, and what style direction you want to go, and then the rest is up to me! It's a super simple process for the homeowner.

I will come in and look at your current furniture, flooring, lighting and decorations and I will find the perfect colour for you! At the end of the consultation, I can give you some colour suggestions on the spot, or I can send you a diagnostic of your space including the colours that will work in the space, and even some decorations or accents that will bring out your own personal style.

E-Design

E-designs are similar to the paint consultations, except I typically don't come to your house. Typically, you will fill out a small questionnaire, including some photos of the existing room you are looking to design. This is a fantastic service for those DIY-ers that just aren't too sure where to start. E-designs include paint recommendations, several mood boards with style inspiration, and even a shopping list designed around your style and budget!

Renovation Planning

Renovation planning is another service that I offer, which includes a complimentary in-home consultation, Revit drawn 2D and 3D plans, 3D renderings, mood boards and shopping lists. Depending on the type of renovation, this can also include millwork design. Since this is one of the largest services that I currently offer, there are many components that come with this service. And just for your own peace of mind, I also include a detailed work schedule and I include you through every step. Renovations can be very tricky depending on the scope of the project, so I take special care to make sure that you are comfortable and happy with all of the designs.

As far as planning goes, you will receive several floor plans, each with their own mood board and shopping list. To do this, I will conduct an in-home consultation to measure the space and take photos of the existing finishes and fixtures. I will also ask you some questions about your style and what you are looking for to ensure the designs are a good fit for you and your home!
